Two Week Project
The Two Week Project (2W) is a collaboration between 826 New Orleans and a dedicated local teacher to produce a high-quality publication over the course of two weeks.
Teachers submit book ideas through a Request for Proposals, and are selected by 826 New Orleans staff. The first week of the project, students brainstorm and draft writing. The second week, students work on an art component, and receive one-on-one support via conferences with volunteers. The project culminates with a big publishing party.
826 New Orleans aims to do one 2W in the fall, and one in the spring. Requests for proposals open in June and November. Fees are associated with this project.
