Volunteer Sign Up

If you want to become a volunteer with 826 New Orleans, completing a Volunteer Application is the place to start!

Our Volunteer Manager will contact you about completing a background check and upcoming volunteer trainings (please bring your ID and $5 for your background check). Once your background check clears and you’ve attended a training, you’ll receive a welcome email to sign up for shifts or upcoming projects.

Please note – some times of the year are busier than others. We typically recruit heavily for volunteer coaches in August, October, December, January, and March, at the start of a semester or big project. Once we’re in the thick of the work, it’s harder for us to find time to facilitate trainings that ensure our volunteers feel prepared to support students.
